. London: Methuen & Co., 1928. The first collected edition, issued upon publication of the final volume of the quartet (House at Pooh Corner with "First Published in 1928" only). Four volumes, original publisher's leather stamped in gilt and blind, all but the first with pictorial endpapers, all edges gilt. 7 3/8 x 4 3/4 inches (18.5 x 12.5 cm); various paginations, all volumes illustrated by E. H. Shepard. Fine condition.
An attractive set of this classic, and quite scarce; presumably Pooh Corner is in the first edition. Sold with a first edition in original cloth of Winnie-the-Pooh, in portions of jacket, cloth discolored.
