Haniwa Terra Cotta Figure of a Warrior
Kofun Period, 6th century A.D.
On a drum like base, the soldier is depicted with flaring armor, a belt incised with zigzag lines, a tanto and a chokuto. The stylized face is framed by squared ears; traces of red color; base. Height 29 inches (73.7 cm).
