Early 20th century calf gilt in period style by Bayntun, all edges gilt. 11 1/2 x 7 inches (29.5 x 18 cm); 36, 189 [i.e. 179], [4], 199-262, 265-267, [4] 267-314, 317-431, [4], 433-520 (only of 529 pp., lacks the final five leaves of the seventh book of The Art of War). The 12 pp. Letter to Zanobius Buondelmontius present and bound at the front, bound without without blanks. Trimmed close at upper margin, short closed tear to one leaf of Table, a few small stains or thumbsoiling but very clean overall, a few ink notations, joint lightly worn, lacks spine label.
