. London: G. Bell and Sons, 1929. In a binding of full emerald green morocco by Riviere & Son., the front cover with a portrait of Pepys in onlaid leather, candle in hand, lettered below the vignette "and so to bed," framed by an interlaced border in gilt, the same border repeated without vignette on the rear cover, spine in six compartments, elaborately gilt, green leather dentelles, marbled endpapers, all edges gilt. 7 1/4 x 4 3/4 inches (18.5 x 12 cm); 670 pp. plus map endpapers bound in, illustrated by Ernest H. Shepard. Fine.
