, comprising 22 original volumes and 3 facsimiles, five in contemporary cloth backed boards, the balance in 20th century cloth, each a Honolulu imprint, a few printed in Hawaiian. The group includes The Civil Code of the Hawaiian Islands, 1859; The Penal Code of the Hawaiian Kingdom, 1869, with the companion volume in Hawaiian; numerous session laws and laws of various provisional governments; Laws of His Majesty Kalakaua I, King of the Hawaiian Islands ... 1884; Constitution of the Republic of Hawaii ... 1894, signed by W. N. Armstrong; Constitution of the Republic of Hawaii ... 1895; Na Kanawai o ka Republika o Hawaii ... 1898; the facsimiles being reprints of the 1840s Blue Laws and Laws from 1843 and 1854. Variously stamped, some ink and pencil notations, some chipped or detached leaves and other wear but generally clean, the lot not collated and sold as is.
Rare Honolulu imprints. The lot 25 volumes.
