Additional Notes & Condition Report
Please Note: these lamps have not been drilled or wired for electricity; they are lit by candle illumination
Shades: the exterior side of each shade appears to have been repainted; the interior side of each shade is in poor condition: there is bubbling and heat/burn marks to the painted surface caused by burning candles; the shades do not appear to have nay disfiguring dings or dents and appear to be "in-the-round"
Bases: one of the thin metal rods that allows the shade to be raised or lowered telescopically is loose on one lamp and would greatly benefit from being tightened; there are a total of six metal inserts to hold the candles and they are all present and appear to be consistent; the two bases are consistent (they match and are the same); there is general wear and dulling to the gilding, most notably to the drip cups; there is some mildewing to the surface of each base
Any condition statement is given as a courtesy to a client, is only an opinion and should not be treated as a statement of fact. Doyle New York shall have no responsibility for any error or omission. The absence of a condition statement does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of aging.
