Early 20th century
Of cylindrical form with three loop handles, the body engraved "Monmouth County Horse Show 1904", "First Prize Road Four and Appointments", "Won by Coach Venture Venture Viking Vanity Vogue". Height 8 inches, approximately 49 ounces.
The Ashbury Park Evening Press for Saturday July 30, 1904 reported on the race and the victory of the coach Venture driven by Alfred G. Vanderbilt. The course of six miles took Vanderbilt 25 minutes to finish.
