London: East Africa Ltd., 1928. First edition. Publisher's cloth in dust jacket. 8 3/8 x 5 1/2 inches; xii, 318 pp.; frontispiece map, plates, half-title. Jacket spine lightly sunned, minor edgewear to an overall fine jacket, cloth tips bumped, endpapers slightly toned, occasional foxing, gift inscription to front pastedown.
Scarce in the dust jacket, particularly in this fine condition. "Boyes recounts his adventures in East Africa, particularly hunting elephant in the Lado Enclave, and on safari with W. N. McMillan and C. W. L. Bulpett near the Donyo Sabuk for lion and rhinoceros. There are additional excursions to Kikuyu land and Abyssinia" (Czech). Czech, Africa, p. 32.
