Vienna: Julius Springer, 1929. First edition. Contemporary half black cloth over marbled boards. 8 5/8 x 5 5/8 inches; vi, 114 pp., interleaved with blank lined paper. Extremities worn particularly at spine ends, slightly cocked, contemporary manuscript pencil notes throughout the text (not on the interleaves) in a careful hand.
First edition of one of very first textbooks in modern logic by the influential German philosopher and member of the Vienna Circle, which endeavored to make the system of logic from Russell and Whitehead's Principia Mathematica accessible to a broader audience.
