DANIEL, WILLIAM BARKER Rural Sports.
London: Bunny & Gold, [1801]-[1802]. First editions. Two volumes, 19th century mottled calf, all edges gilt. 10 x 8 inches; There are a total of 72 plates as follows: Volume I with 20 plates (including engraved title); Volume II with 45 plates (including engraved titles). Some binding wear, thought still sound, internally some even toning but a clean set with good impressions of the plates (according to a pencil notation, these are proofs, but there is no evidence of this otherwise beyond the crispness of the impressions); the third part issued 1813 is not present.
A standard work with fine plates, particularly those in the angling section.
