Compagnie des Cristalleries de St. Louis (D'Argental) Art Nouveau Wrought Iron and Cameo Glass Table Lamp
Circa 1920
The domed shade in plum over mottled orange and apricot colored glass, decorated with blossoms and leaves, glossy and satin finish, raised on a conforming flower-form base, with three arm supports with upright double leaf terminals, shade signed in cameo D'Argental with the Cross of Lorraine. Height 23 3/4 inches; height of shade 6 1/2 inches, diameter 13 inches.

Shade and Base: appears to be in generally good condition; no apparent hairline cracks, chips, etc., to the shade or base; there are scuff marks located on the exterior lower side of the shade caused by abrasions/contact with the upright double metal leaf terminals and arm supports that help secure the shade into place, consistent with lamp usage and repeated removal of the shade over time; there are some scattered scuff marks to the base, not of any consequence; there is one somewhat large size internally trapped air bubble in the glass, in the making, not of any consequence; there is a drill hole to the circular foot, as made, for wiring; wiring is later; sockets and wiring not tested; this lamp has two sockets (one upright to illuminate the shade; the other is downturned to illuminate the body)
