Pair of Louis XV Beechwood and Silk-Upholstered Bergères en Cabriolet
Mid-18th century
Each arched padded back and sides within a molded frame with flowerhead cresting above a serpentine loose-cushioned seat with similarly carved seatrail and raised on cabriole legs. Height 37 inches (94 cm), width 27 1/4 inches (69.3 cm), depth 21 inches (53.4 cm).

Restored condition, both with later corners brackets to underframing, repaired breaks to toprail of one at joints with stiles, now with plugs and inpainting, repaired break to back right leg and now with plug, the other chair with repaired breaks to toprail at joints of stiles.
