Nicholson, 1858. 10 5/5 x 8 3/5 inches (27 x 21 cm); lvi, 1005, [1] pp. (one hand-colored plate); [11]-35, [1] pp.; [9]-290 pp., 38 fine hand-colored lithographic plates [38 were also issued in part I, not present here]; bound with BAIRD, S. F. and W. H. EMORY. United States and Mexican Boundary Survey ... Birds of the Boundary. [Washington: GPO, 1859]. Dark green cloth. 11 x 8 3/4 inches (27.5 x 22 cm); 34 pp., 25 hand-colored lithographed plates by Bowen & Co. (all issued). The binding rubbed to extremities and sides but overall sound, a few plates with pencilled notes, one plate in the first work with a marginal restoration.

The first work is Graff 4435; Hill, pp. 301-302; Howes P3; Sabin 69946; Taft, pp. 4-9; Wagner-Camp 262-266a, 267:1; Wheat Mapping the Transmississippi West IV, pp. 67-91; the second is extracted from William H.
