London: John Murray, 1834 First edition, a presentation copy from the publisher to James Colquhoun with inscription to the half-title. Contemporary three-quarters morocco gilt over marbled boards. 8 1/2 x 8 1/2 inches (23 x 13 cm); 408 pp., with half-title. Spotting to first and last leaves, the binding rubbed.

The uncommon narrative of Matthew Gregory Lewis' time in Jamaica. He is best known for his 1796 Gothic novel The Monk. Sabin 40821.
