[ALASKA-HUNTING] YOUNG, G.[EORGE] O.[RVILLE]. Alaskan Trophies Won and Lost.
Boston: Christopher Publishing House, 1928. First edition, signed by the author on the dedication page. Publisher's red cloth lettered in gilt. 7 3/4 x 5 1/4 inches (20 x 13.5 cm); 248 pp.; frontispiece and plates after photographs, folding map. Light wear to extremities, spine lettering a bit dulled, the text internally fresh, crease to fore edge of folding map, bookplate of W. A. Little.
More commonly met with in the 1947 second edition, this first edition is quite scarce. "Young and his companions hunted Dall sheep in the hill country near the White River and the Generc River, mountain goat near the Nizina Glacier, and other big game. The bulk of their trophies were lost however, when their scow sank on the White River" - Czech. Czech Wild Sheep and Goats p. 279.
