Minton Majolica 'Pigeon Pie' Tureen and Cover
Shape no. 777, date cypher for 1864
Molded as a circular wicker bowl supported on the three fan-tailed gray pigeons resting among entwined oak branches, the shallow domed cover with a white nesting dove, turquoise interior, impressed uppercase mark and various cyphers, and shape no. Height 11 inches, width 10 inches.
