Minton Majolica Brown-Ground Foxglove and Fern Brown-Ground Garden Pot and Stand
Shape no. 1056, date cyphers for 1866
Naturalistically molded with foxglove and morning glory among ferns and fronds, flanked by scroll handles, on a conforming stand, impressed shape no., Z and various cyphers, painted 41 to pot and backwards N 2 to stand. Height 19 7/8 inches, diameter 18 1/2 inches.

overall nice condition; restoration to a few foxglove tips and a leaf edge; some residue along the foot rim and on the tray, commensurate with use; there are some deep radiating craze lines that enter the draining hole of the jardiniere, one of which is also visible on the interior side; light surface crazing to interiors and stacking wear to the stand; examined under blacklight
