Minton Majolica Mottled Brown and Green Asparagus Server

Naturalistically modeled as a ribbon-tied cradle of asparagus spears resting on raised supports mounted on a rectangular stand, the green border molded to resemble Chinese fretwork punctuated with stylized daisy heads, trimmed in yellow, impressed uppercase mark, W and M, molded registry diamond (25-C-G-2) for 1870, shape no., and black painted 3. Width 10 1/8 inches.
