Publisher's black cloth in dust jacket lettered in black; accompanied by a typed letter signed touching on the book and other matters. 9 1/4 x 5 3/4 inches (23.5 x 14.5 cm); viii, 114, [4] pp. The jacket frayed at the head and foot with some loss and foxing to the verso, light binding wear, the accompanying letter with the usual folds, minor toning but in excellent condition overall..
The letter, wishing the recipient a happy New Year, was written January 2, 1953, and is signed simply "C's" on the poet's 4 Patchin Place stationery. He begs to be excused brevity "since am 101pc busy over three Harvard nonlectures" and goes on with some biographical details. A terse but interesting letter.
