[DAGUERREOTYPE-MUSICIANS] Three daguerreotypes of brass instrument players.
[Man with trumpet]. American: circa 1850. Quarter-plate, housed in a leather union case. Some oxidation, misting two lower third of image.; Together with [Dignified gentleman with his trombone]. American: circa 1850. Sixth-plate, housed in original leather union case. Lacking upper portion of case. Slight oxidation to left of image, overall bright; and Young man with tuba or ophicleide. Sixth-plate, housed in original leather union case. Some marks, but overall bright.
These musicians may well have been members of brass bands, or possibly professional musicians.
