1939, likely printed 1970s. Gelatin silver print, 14 1/8 x 10 1/4 inches (358 x 261 mm) on larger sheet (Agfa paper), signed recto in ink in margin (l.r.), verso titled and dated in pencil with P.L. and page numbers, with Brassai's copyright and "Tirage de l'Auteur" stamps. Small crease at upper center in the shadow of the chimney, corners a trifle bumped in margins, verso with minor toning, overall an attractive example. Framed.

Norma Stevens represented Richard Avedon for thirty years, and her husband Martin (d. 2016) was an art and creative director for Revlon and other agencies.
