New York: Frederick A. Stokes Company, 1911. First edition. With introduction by Theodore Roosevelt. Publisher's yellow pictorial cloth, in dust jacket. 7 3/8 x 4 7/8 inches; xix, 135 pp.; frontispiece and plates after photographs, half-title. Jacket with losses to extremities and a few creases and tears, cloth spine ends lightly bumped, scattered foxing, booksellers ticket to front pastedown.
Scarce in jacket. In his Introduction, Teddy Roosevelt says of this book, "No hunting trip more worthy of commemoration ever took place in Africa." With photographs of roping a wart-hog, hartebeest, serval-cat, cheetah, zebra, giraffe, rhino, and lioness. Czech, Africa, p. 249.
