London: J. Dodsley, and others, 1795-1867. 109 volumes, numbered volumes 1-108 (including volumes 62 parts I and II), mixed editions with volumes 1-40 in the ninth through second editions. Contemporary calf, gilt tooled boards, spines decorated in gilt, red and green leather spine labels lettered in gilt, all edges marbled. 8 1/2 x 4 3/4 inches (21.5 x 12.5 cm). General light wear and somewhat dry leather, some volumes with scuffs, cracked joints, small losses to spines, chipped spine ends, or cracked hinges, contents generally rather fresh but with occasional toning and spotting; Together with: General Index to Dodsley's Annual Register, from it's Commencement in 1758 ot the Year 1819. London: Baldwin, Cradock, and Joy, 1826. Losses and wear to calf over boards, joints cracked, occasional pale spotting, the lot is sold as a periodical, not subject to return.
An attractively bound set in 110 volumes comprising the first one hundred and eight years of this long-running English periodical, The Annual Register, which provided readers with an annual overview of the year's history, politics and literature.
