English Porcelain Rectangular Plaque
First half 19th century, in the manner of Thomas Steel
Finely painted with a loose bouquet of garden flowers, including: peony, roses, convolvulus, poppies, ranunculus, sweet william, violets, lily of the valley and other flowers, within a gilt gesso frame. Height of plaque 9 1/2 inches (24 cm), width 12 1/2 inches (31.8 cm).
