Mintons Majolica 'Japanese Actor' Teapot and Cover
Circa 1872
Modeled as a seated man in traditional Chinese robes holding a large gaping Noh mask issuing the spout, his head forming the cover, his pigtail the handle and green spout, impressed uppercase mark and incised shape no. 838. Height 5 1/2 inches, width overall 7 inches.
