Seven volumes, bound in original full brown niger morocco, in the remains of the card slipcases of issue. 9 1/4 x 6 inches (23 x 15 cm); various paginations. Generally a sound clean set, some darkening of the leather spines and a degree of variation in the color of the goatskin from volume to volume, as usual; some minimal wear, the slipcases largely defective.
A major edition of Shakespeare, with the text based on the first folio, and a selection of modern readings edited by Herbert Farjeon; Together with two Nonesuch Press editions, of Don Quixote and The Essays of Montaigne. Each a two-volume set in original leather bindings, slipcased. Some wear.
