Third quarter 18th century
Each crossbanded serpentine top above a bombé case fitted with three drawers sans traverse, centered by a cartouche of scrolling foliage and flowerheads, the rounded stiles continuing to splayed feet. Height 31 1/2 inches (80 cm), width 45 1/2 inches (1.15 m), depth 24 inches (61 cm).

Additional Notes & Condition Report

Overall good restored condition, now with a shiny varnish, shrinking to veneers throughout with old glue extrusions, age cracks to edges, losses and replacements to veneers, one commode with extruding rings along crossbanded edge, probably from screws underneath attaching case to top, age cracks to sides, gilt-metal escutcheons associated, one later, gaps between drawers, commensurate with age, tearing to veneers along lines of construction underneath, inpainting to some replacements.
