Additional Notes & Condition Report

CONDITION REPORT UPDATED MONDAY DECEMBER 16th, 2019

Please note two of the glass shades appear to be later replacements

Base: has a nice mottled green and chocolate brown patina (predominantly green coloration); no apparent losses to any of the petal-type prongs; retains ten porcelain socket sleeves/liners; silk cord is fraying; the bakelite-type on/off switch is marked HART & HEGEMAN MFG. CO. and HART SWITCH; the base has a nice shape to the bulge at the center of the cluster of stems

Shades: each shade appears to be in generally good condition; there is some variation to the sizes, including the heights and diameters of the mouths; in addition, the ribbing is more pronounced on some shades than others; most shades exhibit nice pink and gold iridescent highlights on their surfaces; most of the shades have minute fleabite-size nicks to their fitter rims and two shades have larger size chips to their fitter rims; one shade has a stretched burst air bubble on the interior side, as made and is not of great consequence; one shade has a small internally trapped air bubble near the bottom interior side, as made and is not of consequence; this shade also has some swirls on the interior side, one of which gives the appearance that there is a hairline crack, however, it does not appear to be a crack; one of the light sockets does not currently seem to be in working condition; accordingly, this lamp will probably require the services of a professional electrician to correct this matter
