Additional Notes & Condition Report
Sconce A: center panel: all five glass segments appear to be in generally good condition (no cracks); side panel: all five glass segments appear to be in generally good condition (no cracks), however, the center glass segment is somewhat loose; other side panel: there are bad cracks to one of the five segments and there is a crack near one of the corners of another segment
Sconce B: all glass segments in all three panels appear to be in generally good condition except for one of the center segments in one of the side panels, which has a horizontal crack; this cracked segment is now somewhat loose
Sconce C: there is a horizontal hairline crack across the central segment of the center panel - one part of the glass is now somewhat loose; the other glass segments appear to be in generally good condition;
there are scattered losses to the green enameled finish on both sides of the leaded glass shades, consistent with age, usage and handling; the side panels do not move or swivel, rather they are rigid and fixed into place; there are differences to how the side are fixed into place, i.e., one appears to be more opened or flat in appearance whereas the two others appear to be slightly more box-like; the on/off pull chains with the acorn-shaped terminals are likely later replacements
Any condition statement is given as a courtesy to a client, is only an opinion and should not be treated as a statement of fact. Doyle New York shall have no responsibility for any error or omission. The absence of a condition statement does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of aging.
