[INDIA-HUNTING] PINCKNEY, PHILIP H. Philip's shooting Trip.
[cover title]. London: Privately printed, [1920]. Full red morocco, titled in gilt as above, decorated in blind. 9 3/4 x 6 1/4 inches (34.5 x 14 cm); Part I: Shooting in Sikkim. 14 ff., unpaginated; Part II: 13-18 pp. (i.e. 44 pp. in all); 6 plates after photographs. Light binding wear, interior a bit creased.
Czech (who misstated the author's first name as "Phillipp") writes, apparently referring to this copy: "In a series of letters originally published in sporting journals of the day, the author recounts his hunting of burhel, Tibetan gazelle, and Ovis ammon in the highlands of Sikkim. A rare work undoubtedly compiled in a small number for friends and family." The unpaginated section appears to be, most likely, an offprint from a journal. The second portion is probably extracted from the same journal. Not in WorldCat. Czech Asia p.163.
