Includes works by Edward Gibbon, William H. Prescott, J. Lothrop Motley, Thomas Babington Macaulay, Charles Knight, Theodore Martin, and Martha Walker Freer. The largest volumes measure 10 1/4 x 7 inches. Contemporary three-quarters calf with gilt decorations, and one set in full calf with gilt decorations. Generally sound with some light rubbing and wear to spines and edges, sold as is.
